The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) begins today in Las Vegas, Nevada. The CES show is renowned for unveiling some of the biggest and best tech products on the market. The show is attended by the biggest names in the technology industry such as Samsung, Google, Sony & LG.
The show will also feature a lot of VR & AR technology. HTC has been rumoured to be releasing a new lightweight headset at the show and Magic Leap will be in attendance to show off AR solutions on the Magic Leap 2. CES is known to let people try products that aren’t necessarily in their final form.
An example of an experimental product being shown at CES 2023 is the Shiftall Mutalk, a bizarre Bluetooth microphone that’s been built for use in the Metaverse. The device looks incredibly strange and straps to the users head instead of having a stand or being attached to headphones like existing microphones.
The benefit of this microphone is that it reportedly mutes what the user is saying so that complete privacy is maintained. It’s just a shame about the way it currently looks…
Another product that will be in the limelight during CES will be Sony’s PSVR2. Sony is rumoured to be putting a lot of emphasis on showing off the device on their stand and revealing more of it’s features.
We’re excited about these sorts of products and will be staying up to date with the latest developments occurring at CES, especially regarding VR technology.
