Meta has officially announced the Meta Quest 3S at Meta Connect! This new headset is a smaller, more affordable version of the original Meta Quest 3. Meta are committed to ensuring that this headset retains the key features which made the original Quest 3 so great.
The headset is best for those new to mixed reality and immersive experiences, or who might have been waiting for a low-cost upgrade from the Meta Quest 2.
Prioritising Mixed Reality
The Quest 3S is primed to focus on Mixed Reality, similar to the existing Quest 3. Meta have spent years making improvements to the Quest ecosystem, turning Meta Quest 3 into one of the most capable mixed reality headsets on the market. Meta Quest 3S will benefit from these updates on day one.
The Quest 3S has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chip, meaning all the same incredible software that works on the Quest 3 can also be experienced on the Quest 3S.
