Today, Pico have announced the launch of their highly anticipated next generation Virtual Reality headset – the Pico 4 Enterprise.
It looks as though the Pico 4 Enterprise will be giving Meta a run for their money. Meta have also recently launched their own headset, the Meta Quest Pro. It’s interesting to note that both of these devices have been created for use in business. However, as good as the Meta Quest Pro looks, it seems as though the Pico 4 may slightly have the edge.
The Pico 4 will reportedly boast a much lower price point than the Quest Pro, estimated to be priced around the £800 mark. Despite this, the Pico 4 utilizes a higher resolution display, offering 2160 x 2160 pixels per eye compared to Meta’s 1800 x 1920 pixels per eye. Also, the Pico 4 is aiming to be lighter and more ergonomic than it’s competitor. With these specifications in mind, time will tell which headset executives will grow to prefer.
In comparison with Pico’s previous flagship product, the Neo3 Pro, the 4 takes the next step towards a future where Virtual Reality hardware is sleek, versatile and lightweight. With improved ergonomics and completely redesigned controllers, the Pico 4 looks like a miniature powerhouse and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
We remain in anticipation for Pico to announce an official release date for the headset.
