Branding Guidelines

When making use of our branding services, it is important to note some important branding guidelines and technical info.

First, we work exclusively within Adobe’s Suite of software, producing artwork for branding purposes in Adobe Illustrator specifically. We will always ask for branding files (such as your logo) as an .svg file. An .svg is a Scalable Vector Graphic that will not lose its quality, no matter how much it is enlarged or shrunk. This is because an .svg is made from mathematical formulas based on points and lines on a grid rather than image data which file formats such as .jpeg or .png use.

Because of this, we ask that you please send us your branding files in an .svg format. To check whether or not your file is a real .svg, simply open it and zoom in. If the image goes blurry in any way, it is not an .svg. To save your file as an .svg, open the original document in software such as Illustrator (.ai) and go to file > export as and select .svg.

If you would like anything about your branding changing, please communicate this clearly. For example, if you are having acrylic branding done, you can specify what colour you would like the background behind the logo to be. This is not imperative however as, if you don’t, we can choose the background colour that will look the best ourselves.

Following these established branding guidelines not only helps us in the production of your artwork but also makes your branding look the best it possibly can.
